Kobe Airport was opened in 2006 as a maritime airport off the coast of Kobe, which is one of the three major cities in the Kansai region along with Kyoto and Osaka. Since 2018, the company “Kansai Airports” has been operating Kobe Airport, Kansai International Airport and Osaka International Airport as an integral unit.
International flights are being considered before the International Exposition (Osaka Expo), which is scheduled to be held in 2025, and there are great expectations for future development of the airport.
Exceptional attention to detail can be seen in the product, from the recreation of not only the airport terminal, but also the entire airport island, including detailed Apron markings, Skymark and Airbus hangars, emergency helicopter bases, and artificial lagoons which are recreational facilities for the public.
